Poker Aces – how to wager them

Poker Aces references two aces dealt pre-flop. It is the best attainable pre-flop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But despite this a great many bettors end up on the losing end when dealt these cards.

When you are dealt a pair of Aces, you just do not drop out pre-flop. You are positioned with the best possible hand at this stage of the game. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I would say no to that.

Remember, you are trying to generate as much money from this strong position. You want to maximize the possibility. Going all-in will actually scare most competitors into dropping out before making a bet.

If you are in the initial seat (1st or second to cast a bet), you will lay a single bet. Anybody with a decent hand will call, hopefully a person will raise. If there has been a raise don’t hop to re-raise or call, wait for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

Following the flop your course of action will be to eliminate anybody that might get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you’re fortunate you’ll trick one player into believing that you are bluffing.

If you’re in the center or later position (one of the last to cast your bet) you’ll watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you sitting with a pair of aces, if possible try to avert a show-down. Guard your hand by forcing others to drop out after the flop. If you don’t abolish your competition you chance losing your hand.
